My
husband and I came to Sumter in the late '60s and early '70s as dependents
of fathers stationed at Shaw Air Force Base. Married for 29 years,
we are blessed with 3 wonderful children and four beautiful grandchildren.
I am a self-employed Master Barber. I am serving my second term as an elected school board member for the Sumter School District #2 Board of Trustees, currently serving as its Vice-Chair. I have also served on the governing board of the Career Center and chaired other subcommittees as well. Most recently, I was appointed to serve on the Sumter School Consolidation Transition Team to aid in the consolidation of Sumter 17 and Sumter 2 school districts. |
